Deckchairs Overboard - "SHOUT" Official music video & Countdown Studio performance

Sydney based 80s Funk/Pop band performing "Shout" a single written and sung by their bass player, Cathy McQuade. This clip contains about 2and half minutes of footage from the very rare official music video commissioned by the record company - the missing footage from the intro and the outro of the song, I re-edited and re-mixed from their 1983 appearance on ABC-TV's music show "Countdown". The clip was filmed in the legendary "Stranded" nightclub - featuring it's ornate Sky painted domed ceiling. It was one of Sydney's great live venues in the late 70's through to the mid 80s. Deckchairs Overboard along with many other local bands like X, Sardine V, Pel Mel, Do- Re- Mi, The Sunnyboys, Jimmy and The Boys and International acts such as Simple Minds, Echo and The Bunnymen performed there. The club, situated in the basement of The Strand Arcade has long since gone...the clip is nostalgic time capsule.
