i'm not a christian and i don't live in the west (anymore) so i've been able to avoid the whole christmas thing altogether. i give gifts when and as needed/wanted. it's so much more fulfilling to do it this way, rather than enslave myself to consumerism and the 'shoulds' of societal mores and expectations. when a loved one needs/wants something, i simply get/make it for them. great whisper as always. too bad you didn't hook with the others. next time, eh.
