  • Taylor and Richards the best lead/rhythm combo ever in their prime....the Stones in 72 will never be matched by any band.

  • Stones, with Mick Taylor from the John Mayall blues cult..

Probably one of the best things that has ever happened to The Stones.

  • @Elm3224 - Yeah, and Jagger and Keith's egos are so big that they have pretty much refused to admit that over the last 40 years. Keith, in fact, has made little ad hominem attacks on him saying, "He never smiled enough" - aaha!! The Stones were great with Taylor but now pale to what they once were.

  • @jbstonesfan Yes I agree M. Taylor was the man. Get yer ya ya's out was outstanding, best live album of all time IMO. I wish the Stones would've stayed true through the years though and wish Taylor would've stayed around longer. Instead they seem to just follow trends throughout the years to stay relevant(disco...etc) instead they should've stuck to the sound they had during the Taylor era and all would've been just fine.

  • I saw this act a month earlier in Seattle.

The guitars are sure better in tune in this recording.

  • Mick Taylors big mistake, leaving the "Stones."

  • @mecormany Who the hell said al he did was play fast? Real musicians understand that if he was so much better, he wouldn't have faded while the band had continued success and still sell out stadiums. Use some common sense!

  • @Maverikk68 Real musicians also laugh at people who think all Mick Taylor did was play fast. MT was so much better than anybody else in this band he almost single-handedly pushed them past Cream, Jimi, Zep, Who etc to become the greatest r&r band in the world. They weren't before and they sure as hell haven't been since.

  • I'm glad Keith didn't croak.

  • the Mick Taylor Years !! fantastic period

  • It's 4 o'clock...time for tea! Fantastic live cut of "gimme shelter"

  • although I love Keith version.......but Mick Taylor making this a much heavier rock n' roll ......I'm just STONED
