Cannonball! (1976) - David Carradine (violent version, not a comedy)
The Gumball Rally (1976) - Gary Busey (the first crack at this, not a star-studded cast but if you love cars & cannonball run you should find it equally entertaining)
The Cannonball Run (1981)
Speed Zone (1989) - John Candy (Canadian attempt to make Cannonball Run III)
Gumball 3000: 6 days in May (2005) and Cannonball Run Europe: The Great Escape (2005) - both documentaries for those interested in the real deal.
I love this film to bits, its way better than Cannonball run 1, Susan Anton and Catherine Bach, were my favourites in the movie, they were absolutely savage back then. Anytime its on television, i'm glued to it from the first minute to the last.

NO VHS RENTAL. SINCE 2005.
You can wait 20 years on a weekly basis for free to air television to broadcast.
You may be better off going to see it in the cinema.
You don't want to know about the cost of PAY T.V - but they do Burt Reynolds specials.
It is from a generation that DID think ROAD SAFETY WAS OWN RISK.
