Dr. David Jacobs - MUFON-LA (1 of 2)

David M. Jacobs, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of History at Temple University in Philadelphia, specializing in 20th Century American History and Culture. In 1973, Dr. Jacobs completed his dissertation in field of Intellectual History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, on the controversy over unidentified flying objects in America. This was the second Ph.D. degree ever granted in the U.S. involving a UFO-related theme.

Dr. Jacobs is one of the foremost UFO abduction researchers in the world. He has worked with over 140 abductees, conducting nearly 900 hypnotic regressions. Using his extensive primary research, he developed the first scientific typology of abductions. He has amassed over 38 years of primary research data and analytical hypotheses on the subject of UFOs and alien abduction.

Dr. Jacobs' breakthrough 1992 book, Secret Life: Firsthand Accounts of UFO Abductions is the most complete exposition of the structure and meaning of the abduction phenomenon yet published. His next book, The Threat, published in 1998, presented some very provocative ideas about the alien abduction program and what the motives behind it might be. In 2000, Jacobs edited UFOs and Abductions: Challenging the Borders of Knowledge. This book features papers by ten noted authors writing about the UFO/Abduction phenomenon. It is notable because its target readership is the academic community.

More recently, Dr. Jacobs has been looking into the subject of human-alien hybrids. Since 2003, he has been focusing on what he refer to as the Hybrid Integration Program. Dr. Jacobs will be presenting us with a rather startling talk about advances in the program that hes come across in his research. Some of these findings are unsettling. One thing is for sure: You wont want to miss this talk.

I think Dr. Jacobs is FANTASTIC. He has such a manner about him that even though he's talking about things that are ... bizzare.. he brings it down to earth and discusses it frankly. I really enjoy his talks.

@PeterTheSAGAFan Sure, I wouldn't expect or recognise any final answers. The whole issue is riddled with unknowns and innuendo it's hard to make anything out with absolute certainty. This is also the issue with the UFO problem in general. The end result of Jacobs and Hopkins work is almost a fantasy but I will not discredit them either. Due credit is deserved, even though the story is partial and quite possibly just wrong.

@skylark8008 Having read his books, an interesting observation is that neither Budd Hopkins or David Jacobs have any final answers. While there are a lot of mysterious details in their books, many of them are too crazy to even put in the media. I read Travis Walton's book in the 80s and he had me until I read he saw humans on the craft he was taken aboard. No explanation given. 30 years later the phenomenon implies genetic engineering on behalf of the aliens. Absolutely crazy

The term "Standard Grey Aliens" has to be clarified. At the same time, many proclaim of visitations by numerous Alien species/races. Hence why is the story only concerned with "Standard Grey Aliens"?

It would be interesting to learn what David Jacob's final answers are to this problem.
