Seven Stillnesses, excerpt

August 21, 2008. Harold Washington Library, Chicago. The folks who are responsible for videotaping programs at the Harold Washington Library is the Office of Municipal Television. This is a City agency that broadcasts on Cable 49 in Chicago (the arts channel). In this case, they were documenting "3 Currents," a program that included me, Molly Shanahan and Julia Mayer. "3 Currents" will be broadcast there for the next 3 months, plus occasionally for some time to come. Special thanks to Bob Sloane from the Performing Arts department at the library for helping to prepare this file for YouTube.

Another beautiful dance, Asimina! This video is also a credit to the videographers. It's not easy to capture and convey the power of a dance performance. Using multiple camera angles/distances, lighting, editing...all that takes money, planning, and skill. Did you work with a director?
