  • anybody who cant do that is a fucking idiot....seriously! thats not training! easy!

    if u don't agree with me....im...fucking....surprised!

  • is this for every on or schools

  • If you are watching this in preparation for doing this training, make sure you keep your eyes open when you are being submerged. I kept mine closed the first time, lost my sense of orientation, grabbed the window frame and pull myself into the inside wall of the copter. Finally got out and was escorted to the surface by the good fellas with scuba gear

  • wow. they got out fast. subscribe to me

  • can you make one of these with your underwater camera? cuz im curious where you get out...

  • Well, I did the training as well, else I would not have replied to this video.

I think there is definitely a disorientation effect when the thing spins around, and it can be very dangerous if you are not aware of your surroundings. Another reason why practicing blindfolded is good is to prepare for situations where there is no light (i.e. night).

Yes, panic is bad, but being disoriented and not knowing which way is out WILL lead to it.

  • Even if you are blind folded, its all the same, there is no disorientation. The thing that does kill you is if you panic. I know this cause I just did the training three days ago with the U.S Marines.

  • First did something like this when I was sixteen years old. We did it at the Royal Navy's 'Fleet Air Arm' training base at Yeovleton Sommerset.

The HUET we do as offshore workers is fairly tame compared to what the Royal Navy pilots did then. (early eighties)

When they put the lights out, - It really was dark. (not just dim)

  • You are without doubt one of the most stupid people to comment on the internet, as a reply to someone elses comment.

I can tell you have no clue about the offshore Oil & gas industry, and yet you are commenting because 'every one you know knew one of them' (how desperate is that statement?)

If you ever do HUET - You will shit yourself. (just you) But it does not preparer you for a real scenario that is bad.

This is the whole point that you missed.

(My 3 year old could get it)

  • What the fuck is your problem?

    Points for what?

Shut the fuck up. You know nothing. You are fairly stupid, as you missed the whole point to begin with. What's your IQ? About 42 or something??.

Fuckin points for it? Is that the way your stupid little mind interprets things?

How old are you? - Fuckin 12?
