I Want You, a cover of the Marvin Gaye classic, was the opening track and proposed lead single from Madonna's compendium of ballads, Something to Remember, released in 1995. The main track was produced by Massive Attack and an orchestral version closed the disc. The first version was also included on Inner City Blues: The Music of Marvin Gaye.
A video was shot for the song and a promotional single was circulated but the single never received an official release due to internal strife of an undefined nature (*giggle*). You'll See was rushed out in its stead and reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100. This may have been the correct decision as You'll See has had enduring staying power for 15 years, most recently covered by Susan Boyle on her debut, I Dreamed a Dream.
Reminds me of the amazing work of Craig Armstrong. Is there a HQ version available?
