Canon Powershot SX1 IS zoom 80x with tripod and without it + 4 picture - zoom 0x - 100x above! *

* Something special for all those, who love the zoom on this camera and want more..:)There is the posibility, how to reach with this camera zoom above 100x - surely (160x I thing, it should be..) without using PC! Of course it is already digital zoom.. . But it works and the picture is still applicable. Everything you should to do is to take picture in mode 16:9(better) with 80x digital zoom and with the maximum resolution! Than look at the picture, push the MENU button and choose TRIMMING.Than push SET, zoom in or trim, as you thing and push SET.Last save your new image. And now you get the object zoomed 100x above:) p.s. The image has still nice 2 Megapixel resolution..

Thats all rigt. Optical zoom is 20x and digital zoom is 4x =80x.. .Also "80x with tripod and without it" is a demonstration of the digital zoom of this camera already..

great job! this is what more users need to do to show the capabilities of their cams. i've only seen one clip of it in action at a concert, but this camera seems like the ideal to bring to a live event.
