This is an overview of how to re-flow (or re solder) a faulty video chip on an HP laptop. The machine used in this video to perform the task is very expensive. About 20K to 30K depending on the source. This process is done by Michael Vartanian at Media City Technologies computer repair facility in North Hollywood, CA. To contact Michael, you can email him at service@mediacitytech.com .

  • hey can u post how to fix a speak phone of a pavilio dv6 i have problems whit one of my speakers

  • whats the model and brand of the electric screwdriver you use in the video.

  • It's a magic!

    Compaq turns to HP!

Maybe its because of your laser power!

  • I like how the video started with a Compaq and ended with an HP. Look at 2:03 (before) & then at 6:45 (after) - two completely different units.

  • @journeyquest1 I have an AMD ati radeon in my hp laptop, the uhmmm.......

    BLACK SCREEN!!!! gahhhh....

  • I hope NVIDIA burns in hell for their many problems they have caused people. I will stick with ATI. My ATI cards work many many years until they are outdated.

  • The reflow and reball are not solution. The chip will be die again about 1-2 months later.

Just only one solution is,old chip replace new one(it made in 2007-2008).But the Nvidia did not make new chips from Nvidia Geforce 6100,6150,7200,7400,8400,8600 series in 2009-2010.

    Sorry for the bad news

  • crappy nvidia...when i see those damn chips and think about the hundreds of thousands of laptops that "died" because of crappy lead used I feel sick and find it hard to believe they didn't do all that on purpose....nice vid.
