Lisbon will pass. We can only hope for a "long term oposition". i will hope for Brtis and maybe Dutch to be the first to stick a finger to this socialism & euroenthusiasm. Shame to admit my good old Poland dances like a puppet to Fernch & Germn music. So as the rest. Shame to see Irish getting pushed around like that, had a bit more faith in them. I think UK is the key to opposition.

& i think de Gaulle's idea of europe is the only possible way for EU.

I am from the Czech republic and unfortunately the mood of the public is mostly against Klaus's endeavour to put off signing the treaty. He is waiting for the Constitutional Court's decision on the matter, but it would be very surprising if they ruled against the treaty. Klaus is under a lot of pressure from influential (and mostly leftwing) MPs to sign it. They even threaten to cut his budget and other things, I think I heard the word treason from someone on the telly. Have a nice day!
