@cazziekins Found it Cazzie. You are right. I kind of wince trying to watch it, which makes no sense, since he is the one who went through it and obviously he survived it just fine. I think we just always want the best for him so we hate seeing him go through anything that is hurtful.

Every performer messes up, c'mon! Number one, Cliff's voice has changed with age and the song is in a key too high for his range. Second, it looks like he didn't rehearse; something distracted him to the point where he messed up the lyrics so badly that the show had to edit it out. Finally, Cliff has been getting a little 'odd' as he's been aging. Kinda loco. But he's in his 60s and the nuttiness might just his trying to act young.
