overmind, nothing that's in the video says the Reagan administration helped Saddam use chemical weapons. They didn't. "a simple google search" would turn up thousands of conspiracy fairy sites. News articles that you can keyword for me here without a link, and I know you won't, because they don't exist, that detail how the US helped Saddam use chemical weapons would prove your point. You won't cite them because they don't exist.

Last comment overmind, I guess what you're trying to say is the US should not have allegedly pushed for the UN to only say chemical weapons were being used in the Iran-Iraq war. You're not claiming, because it would be totally false, that we helped Saddam use chemical weapons; including any materials or technology related to it. There is no evidence that the small aid we gave him (because he was fighting a country that had just kidnapped our people) was related in anyway to chemical weapons.

No I am stating we helped him use chemical weapons because we knew he was using him but we still gave him battlefield and technological aid and then tried to stop reports coming out that the Iraq was using chemical weapons. The US was not the only country that gave him aid.

When you say a country that kidnapped our people you have to know that the US state held the whole of Iran hostage after it overthrew Irans PM in 53 and helped to reinstall and then fund a dictatorial monarch that was then overthrown.

overmind, the video makes the claim, that after we gave Saddam aid in fighting Iran, none of which had anything to do with chemical weapons, that Reagan, according to documents, knew Saddam was using chemical weapons against Iran. No where does the History Channel claim we helped him use those weapons in your video. You apparently can't understand your own video and are trying to make it say something that fits a pre-conceived wrong idea. It never says we helped Saddam use chemical weapons.
