In 1994, the small African country of Rwanda was devastated by tribal
genocide. Today, over 300,000 people live with HIV/AIDS in the
country. But providing healthcare and education requires good
communications. The government has recognised the ability of mobile
phones to connect its network of hospitals and clinics, and has
created TRACnet; an innovative scheme to help with the treatment and
prevention of AIDS.
