unfortunately, the purchase of fake bags is a very serious issue. These bags are not only an infringment on the designers creativity and hard work, but are produced by children in sweatshops. The money collected in their purchase many goes to support drug cartels, prostitution rings and even terrorist organizations. Buying fakes (and keeping their production alive) is not only an issue of looking "tacky", but its a crime.

afaik It's to show the movement of the fabric, as well as portray an image to buyers.

It shows an inability to accessorize at your income level...there is fabulous at all prices...but to completely ignore that and just buy whatever the rich people are buying because you think they know better about style is just laziness and ineptitude.

Caaalm the fuck down I mean I've never bought an imitation bag because YES they do look like shit and I hate how girls try to look "cool" sporting fake bags, but you could at least be a little less snobby about it geeze it's not that serious, at least you're not the one buying those cheat imitations okay chilllllll. <3

People who follow fashion religiously take ideas and designs seriously because its a form of identified art. There are people who are willing to pay the price for those designs and ideas because that is how art is patronized throughout history. If you think a replica makes the "same look" for fraction of the cost---you are dead wrong. The fake brands have fake leather, poor cheap materials and embarassing craftmanship. Don't cheat your own wallet.
