This is what Intel's SSD does for laptop performance.

I can see it sped it up, but I'm not sure why every macbook pro I see, boots so slow to begin with. I've seen my PC load windows in 11sec with HD. For fun I hackintoshed in leopard and loaded it in 14 on a standard western digital 1.5TBHD that cost $99 on sale. I'm guessing I could probably load leopard in about 9 seconds with SSD on my pc. It's i7, 3.8ghz, but what's cool is it was only $750. Plus it's faster at working with video etc.

part of my guess it's the quality of the bus and ram speed etc, and additionally the i7 helping. Because usually HD is the bottleneck, but when you start replacing that with high speed SSD, it puts more strain on the system because more data wnats to flow, and other bottle necks show up.
