Pastor de Lasala plays the historic 1880 Hele organ at St Finbar's Catholic Church, Glenbrook, NSW, Australia. This wonderful instrument was formerly in St Peter's Anglican Church, East Sydney and now speaks into a wonderful acoustic.

  • Unfortunately, no CDs of this organ have been made. The only recording I know of is what I made for radio some years back with this Bach piece and a few other works. I'd love to record it properly. One day . . .

  • Thank you. The organ is by Helle of Plymoth and was built in 1880. It was originally built for St Peter's Anglican Church, East Sydney. The was the organ used by Norman Johnston who taught many organists, including myself.
