  • Find it kind of funny that his mom worked for the USPS.... Which the teams sponsor was... USPS.

  • thanks for the upload. great biography

  • @Drago110482 I think LeBlanc said he was the best Tourwinner but Merx was the best cyclist

  • good biography, keep it up lance

  • Altough, farily cocky (I mean best in the world, who wouldn't be :P) he is my idol! Go Lance Go!

  • @trakomako

To me he s the greatest in the category "cancer survivor and coming back to be better as ever before".

Anyone can have his opinion, but for the most in cycling folklore Merckx is by far the greatest cyclist ever (also for Lance himself), and he deserves it by quality and quantity together.

  • @oitotheworld23 Lance is the greatest Tour de France Champion in history... but the greatest TDF cyclist? Overall wins: Lance 7 > Merckx 5 Days in Yellow: Merckx 96 > Lance 83 Stage wins: Merckx 34 > Lance 25 Sprint (Point) classification (Green): Merckx 3 > Lance 0 Mountain classification (Polka Dot): Merckx 2 > Lance 0 I don t know who was more dominant...but in the 5 years of Merckx´s wins, he dominated the race in any kind, not just time trials and mountains.
  • @trakomako

    Simply:

He wouldn t have won the tour once (ask himself) because the cancer made him stronger as he ever was before (lost about 10 kg weight but remains his body strenght).

And sorry it s not "might be" ture, it s undoubtly true.

You can argue about Jordan, Ali or Pelé as the GOAT s in their sports, but Merckx and Gretzky stands alone... no point to say they are not the greatest in their sport.

  • @Drago110482 OK dude settle down. I agree with you that Lance isn't the greatest of all time...those debates are usually worthless anyway. However, when it comes to cycling Merckx is the undisputed greatest.

Lance is, however, the greatest Tour de France cyclist in history. That shouldn't be too much of a debate.
