@coldfuzionzxx I'm not shielded at all. I am actually quite educated and experienced in many other cultures. This is the reason I feel I can speak my opinion on the matter. If I hadn't engrossed myself into these cultures, I wouldn't feel quite confident in my statements.

@MrVilucian24 I guess you don't agree with such progressive ideas as women equality, do you? In every West African video I have seen (and I have seen a lot, thanks to good ole' YouTube!), the woman is displayed as a sex object. Rap/Hip Hop/R&B also does the same thing. It is disrespectful to women, whether people want to acknowledge it or not. Most men don't.

@maureen1002 Yeah, a culture where men are dominant and women are for sex and procreation! It's not right! Women should not be viewed as sex objects first and foremost! Of course a woman's sexuality is part of who she is, but it is not solely who she is!

it's sad when people haven't been anywhere else in the world besides thier own hometown. zoukous dancing is heritage not only for africans but to the caribbean as well. it's beautiful I myself dance zouk cause thta's my heritage
