dalits were outcasted because their ancestors were criminals.This was'nt even done by brahmins because brahmins have no power and were always poor(self imposed).This was done by other backward castes(guilds).The rulers were busy administering and the Brahmins were busy disseminating knowledge and conducting rituals,praying,being poor etc.The cunning BC/OBC/SC pin the blame on brahmins.Dalit cowardly suffer in silence at hands of majority BC but brahmins are whipping boys as they are just 3% pop.

All Brahmins need to unite... we are a dominant minority in India and the discrimination we are facing in today's India is astounding. All of India's technological, economic, and political advancements can be directly linked to the Brahmins. Problem is the mindset that cleaning toilets is a bad job. Bramhins are superior by virtue of birth and deserve better at everything..WHY???? This is the reason behind the downfall of Hindus and the so called upper castes.. Rains did not stop when Tamerlane slaughtered 1 lakh Hindus at Delhi (many priests too)... And will not stop if Brahmins clean toilet for a living..

The way this world works, you have 2 start working for the place you think you deserve, instead of complaining and blaming.

@FareezLovesMe ..with the disruption of trade routes and intermoment within south asia(mogul aka islamic mongol invasions) resulted in fractures amongst our mostly(till then) large states which broke into tiny principalities(600+ in all)...here the low density of population meant cities further broke down into villages(trade routes were disrupted as I said before) where everyone knew each other and thus outcastes could not climb up the social ladder.Brits then cemented caste identities(census)..

@FareezLovesMe Historically criminals in India were not hanged...this was because our (I presume you are Indian)belevolent ancestors believed life or death was not to be in the hands of human beings(despite being masters in medicine),so criminals were outcasted and sent outside the city/town walls...these outcasts did what they had to survive,which were mostly jobs nobody wanted to do,d-3 jobs(dirty,dangerous,demeaning­).Really skilled ones went to other cities and joined other castes/guilds.cntd
