Nice! If you want your tofu to taste 'meatier', strain all the water out of the packet, cube it like the hippy gourmet did, put it in a ziplock bag then freeze it. Once you thaw it out, almost all the water will seep out leaving you a meatier looking 'tofurkey' type tofu. Peace :-)

I haven't had chayote since Costa Rica! This sounds delicious. I am gonna research about corn starch though. It doesn't seem healthy, but I wouldn't know.
also I thought these were vegan recipes, but I see you say some are vegetarian.

Wonderful recipe. Thank you! I have favourited it as well.
Quick question: Could I get away with not using honey? I know satays have sweetness to them...or should I substitute something else?

You can try Raw Agave Nectar - let us know how it turns out!

Thanks for your comment. Actually "Satay" is a word believed to have originated in Indonesia for meat and chicken skewers in Peanut sauce, but the word is commonly used in Thai recipes too.

Was this tofu organically produced from sustainable sources? if not dont buy it, soya plantations are killing the rainforest just as much as palm oil!

You're absolutely right! This tofu is indeed organic and sustainable!
