  • I commend them for going to school. But if they don't like the area and the problems they face, Why don't they move? If you have 5 or 6 kids that you can't afford, you don't have the right for EXTRA activities!

  • it takes money to move, idiot.

where is the $ coming from if you can't find a job.

people like you will be next standing in the soup line, you wait & see.

  • The recession is over? The last lady in the video knows it isn't over and it is going to get worse. All you people in Detroit better find a way to leave that city before things really get bad. Of course our fearless president won't even step foot in the same neighborhood where these people are trying to get some assistance. Oh! He does believe the recession is over! What a self righteous elitist president we have in office and don't forget his wife also. Spending on lavish trips to Europe!

  • - who our President has not yet adressed, and has failed those whom he promised to help along with State and City representatives who wish to be re-elected on the grounds of doing nothing and at best are nothing more than criminals! Who are not suffering like these and so many individuals across the country. WHERE IS THE CHANGE THAT WE CAN BELIEVE IN THAT WAS PROMISED? WHERE IS OUR HOPE?

  • @Tankboy26 - You gotta pay your bills just like everyone else?..Of course if you have a good stable job unlike these and so many people here in the US. This city and so many others like it across the country are suffering because of the lack of concern of utility, state and govt. representative who care more about lining their own pockets instead of helping those who need it the most. I'm pretty sure if these people had the means to pay, they would. Because of our current economic situation-

  • c'mon, i gotta pay my bills just like everyone else... I just had to RUSH to get cash and get my butt up to the store to keep form my gas getting cut off... what are these folks looking for, FREE utilities??? C'mon...

  • DTE Energy is not concerned about the under class in this city . It would stand to reason that a large corporation of this $billion$ magnitude would have better and more effective solutions to help the people in distressed Metro Det. If DTE was meeting the need of the people, our children, disabled and senior citizens would not be dieing senselessly for lack of utilities. After all water, electricity and gas are human essentials that all human beings, in a civilized society need to survive.
