The Book of Enoch (also 1 Enoch) is ascribed to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah and son of Jared. While this book today is non-canonical in most Christian churches, it was explicitly quoted in the New Testament (Letter of Jude 1:14-15) and by many of the early Church Fathers. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church to this day regards it to be canonical. It is wholly extant only in the Ge'ez language, with Aramaic fragments from the Dead Sea Scrolls and a few Greek and Latin fragments. It is argued that ALL the writers of the New Testament were familiar with it and were influenced by it in thought and diction. Azazel was bound a long time ago. Satan isn't thrown into the Bottomless Pit until after the 6,000 years. Satan, the serpent, was in the garden, but his angels wrought havoc on this earth and revealed the heavenly secrets to men. Azazel was the overseer of this mission, and because of this, all of THIS sin was ascribed to him. Satan is mentioned elsewhere in Enoch, such as the time of judgment, in 53:3, & 54:6.

sorry i felt this was rushed. I was very interested in learning about the book of enoch, but as the audio is so fast it is hard to not only take in, but to understand what is being said. was disapointed as i would have liked to have heard the rest.

It is Interesting as i studies a timeline of the bible, In the Geneaology of Adam,shem to the flood warning, taking into account Enoch says the watchers fell during the time of Jared, The pattern can be seen. the warning came during Methuselah's 849th yr,during the time of Lamech(cains side,& Cain killed) there about 549 yrs between the end of Enoch being taken up & the warning, and its in Noahs 480th year he was given120yrs for the ark to be built. Adam etc died after Lamech noahs Father born
