On 3/19/2009 in a 1St round game of the NCAA Tournament against Radford, North Carolina Tarheel Tyler Hansbrough broke the ACC All Time Scoring Record held by former Duke Blue Devil J.J. Redick. "To date", Tyler Hansbrough has achieved the following below:

Most Career Points: 2,789 (2005-09) from a ACC player.

Most Career Rebounds: 1,177 (2005-09) from a UNC player. Sam Perkins once held the record.

Most Points and Rebounds Combined, Career: 3,966 from a UNC player.

Most Free Throws Made, Career: 953 (2005-09) NCAA Record

2008 National Player of the Year

Only player in ACC history to be named unanimous first-team All-ACC four times.
