We review the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 that comes with Bluetrack technology. This portable mouse is basic on features but can pretty much glide over any surface except glass.

  • What is the meaning of red and yellow lights? it shows the battery level or else?

  • @mustafa817 Yep battery power as far I'm aware!

  • can you finetune the bluetrack sensitivity? For example, I like to lift my mouse very frequently so that I don't move my hand around the mousepad a lot. I'm afraid that I couldn't do these small lifting and moving motions without having the cursor move. Have you found this to be an issue?

  • I'm not sure whether there is a way to adjust the sensitivity - I've just not looked into it.

I haven't found it to be an issue in terms of readjusting my hand, it's quite sensitive out of the box. Once the mouse is lifted from the pad it doesn't really move the cursor wildly, so you should be alright.

  • What is this mouse like compared to a desktop mouse? I have the Bluetrack wireless mouse 5000 and wondered about size? Would this be uncomfortable to use for a desktop, as in for a long period of time and would it feel awkward?

  • I've been using since the mouse since the review and have not had any major problems with it. It's much bigger than the Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 I have and more comfortable in the hand.

  • colour is just personal preference. I think the teal blue looks quite attractive. In an online vote, Teal was voted the most popular shade of blue just ahead of cornflower blue.
