i was there in the 1990's, I think. I didnt leave anything behind but did take good pictures...just like the rolling stones photo, the stuff was there everything. I am so lucky...i just forgot what year...

there was a rock that had "GP a high flying bird over the san andreas fault" did they remove that also?

they removed the concrete slab, read wikipedia

We visited there yesterday, and these markings are still on the memorial. NPS removes the markings occasionally but devotees create new stuff pretty quickly.

glad to see the rock being decorated again , they washed it off right after i visited in october 08
