@kas90500 no, it's because it's smart. People who don't wear helmets are just idiots. It isn't just because of these accidents, but because if just one of them falls and hits their head, head trauma can be avoided if they have a helmet on. Imagine if they flew over the barrier and hit a building or something. Whatever, it helps your survival percent.

I just dont get what is the thing about cycling. This is more dangerous than race driving. Does everybody have to wear helmet in these competitions, beacause of accidents we have seen?

@chevalier5722 sorry, bit of a stupid comment from me - I was referring to Wouter, who died! putting a DNF next to someone who died doing their hobby and job is quite insensitive. But yeah, what else would they put, died? also quite bad taste for an internationally watched race. They should have left him off the final standings.
