Internal Security Minister Prof George Saitoti this morning(Monday) failed to turn up before the parliamentary select committee on defence and foreign relation to explain the attacks on Al Shabaab militants. The committee chaired by Adan Keynan consequently canceled its morning session with no explanation on the minister's absence. Keynan refused to answer any question concerning the deployment of the Kenyan troops into Somalia saying they are still waiting to talk to the Internal Security Minister Saitoti and Defence Minister Yusuf Haji before issuing a comprehensive statement on the matter.
