(continued) and what you said is false, most of those people dont adopt a russian identity just because they live there. the muslims are vehemently anti-russian especially the chechens. a real russian is very specific- a real russian is a slav, something jews and other ethnic groups are not and a real russian is an orthodox christian by heritage even if not by practice. the other groups that live in russia are very nationalistic, and dont like being called russians.
