Tia Fuller Quartet performing Gullyism at the 2008 Panama Jazz Festival. This was taken on January 24th at the ATLAPA Convention Center. They're on point. That is Shamie Royston on the piano, Miriam Sullivan on the bass, and Kim Thompson on the drums. Kim rip it on her solo around 9:00.

  • We attended the last 3 Panama jazz Festivals and each has been amazing. This one piece by the Tia Fuller ensemble gives a good idea of why. Kim Thompson nearly stole the show. Talk about amazing!! Great Video!!!

Danzenie, How 'bout when they did their last tune, but Kim wouldn't stop? She kept on until the others came back for an "encore". Tia said it was totally improvised and said they would call it "Panama"!!

    San Miguelito and Brooklyn, huh?

How about, for me, St. Albans and Chame?

  • Did you know that Kim was actually here for the first Panama Jazz Festival? She stole that show also. I forgot who she was playing with then, but I'm sure you could easily find that onlnie.

  • The piano player, Shamie Royston used to be my band teacher. She was the best. These guys played at one of our jazz band concerts too.

  • No, I had no idea. I didn't live here then. That is one baaaad sister!

Last year Stanley Jordan proved to be a Phenomenon!!! That Brother was amazing!

Can't wait for Chucho, Wayne, Lubo and Marco this year!
