Users of Youtube meet up in Cheshire to do some Advanced Motorcycle training. Bentleybloke has been viewing my vids for a while now and wanted some advice having enroled in an advanced scheme with one of the large trainng organisations. The initial ride was safe, but lacked smothness and 'flow'. Each bend was treated as one and there was a lacl of forward observation in terms of depth. Withthe use of two way communciation this was immediately addressed and an improvement seen

  • I had a brilliant day with Nigel, the weather is getting better so get in touch with him now and do some training with him, you wont regret it. Thanks Nigel

  • @bentleybloke - Thanks....I am still doing it....two years on.....I must be mad...Changed my steed, now on a BMW R1200GS, still fitted with cameras..... Keep up with the latest info on Facebook.

  • good vid, observation is key to survival on todays roads.

  • @tokaijazz - Agree, there is a world beyond the front wheel of the motorcycle...

  • What's it like to ride a motorcycle? because i'm thinking of buying one.

  • Great, freedom to roam......

Get youself off to a recognised trainer who hires motorcycles and give it a go before you buy,

    Regards

    Nigel

  • 2:50...and enjoying myself immensely

  • As always a great vid...

  • I second what Nigel says. I use Nigel's techniquies all the time, and got a surprise when my instructor told me I was doing it wrong, so now I have my normal riding (this) and my test technique, which is not nearly as fluid and I failed because of my positioning, as the examiner deemed I was placing myself at risk (they do it as the rider is an idiot !!!).

Having said all that, if it wasn't for these techniquies, I know I wouldn't be here now, as I was too confident for my actual skill level.

  • Wait till you have passed your test before you attempt this type of riding, especially the positioning. The DSA test requires you to do certain elements, which is not advanced.

    Good luck

    Regards

    Nigel
