Mountain Punks Fight Dirty is a documentary that provides a glimpse into the Asheville, North Carolina DIY underground. Featuring the Showcase, an evening of live performances by 14 of Ashevilles' quintessential bands. These incredible performances are all churned with a heavy dose of grafitti and the thoughts of the El Nuevo volunteers! This clip features the performances of Dig Shovel Dig, Hope & Anchor, Wooden Tit, and the graffiti art of Butters and Rob Hunt. Available on DVD soon from eyesorevideo.com!

  • I heard that Asheville is just a hologram, and that the punks are all really just mirror images of the rednecks and hippies.

  • @resteep That's hilarious... Not sure if I see the mirror images that you are talking about though...

  • @eyesorevideo Well, that's likely because you are a tool of the Obamabot Sheeple hell bent on destroying our Freedoms!

    Why do you hate Liberty??!

  • @resteep Ummmmmmmmmmmmm....

  • fuck ashville..that scene is filled with a bunch of pretenteous assholes who stick up theur noses at the rest of n.c's diy community.

  • That sux that you have had such a bad experience with Asheville. It has been my experience that the town is a southern creative hub of DIY artists and activists who are actively working to build community.

  • i saw very little PUNK in this video. just sayin. But still cool though.GET WASTED AND SLAM!

  • @2:20 I would shoot my daughter (or gay son) in the face if she ever played in a band like that

  • Your so punk... You see, I'm not a punk. I'm an anarchist. Let's leave it at that. Go nit a sweater and make the world a better place for yourself.

  • @vargslurper You're a retard. I grew up in Asheville, that town will open it arms for anyone.

  • Asheville is cool. The over the top sorta spoiled baby crust punk kids sorta get on my nerves and the PC ness...god...the pcness...Maybe i just dont get that place because i care nothing about "building community" but yeh ive played shows With Dig Shovel Dig and they are the shit and I used to book shows in my region with JD who is in this video and hes a solid dude so dont be talkin shit ...

  • I like the town just fine, good food, weed, coffee record stores etc.however the music scene tends to treat the rest of the n.c diy scenes. like we are a bunch of clueless rednecks. Our 10 year old music series has brought more diversity and music to western nc than any group in asheville ever did.with that said much props to the pink house (rip)and green eggs/static age.
