Curried rice is one of my favourite and common here in Malaysia because rice is what we Malaysians eat everyday..... My version adds several more ingredients. Instead of butter, we use margerine. in the melted margerine, we add star anise, cinnamon, clove and fry them before adding a mixture of pulsed red onion+garlic+ginger and fry them until fragrant. Only then we proceed with adding curry powder, rice, salt and water. it's really aromatic.... hehehe give a try... i'm sure you like it!

@yoyomax12 That's a good idea; everyone has different ideas about how much too salt to use, and some people are on salt-restricted diets, so it is just better to salt to taste! Thanks for noting your opinion!

@Death2Agony Yes, you may follow the method for making the rice. If you omit the curry, you may want to choose another spice to take its place.
