I made 10 " gold dredge on my old 24FT PONTOON BOAT and 10 ft long x 4 ft wide sluice it has 1500 gpm pump with diesel engine , steel jet when i work on derdege when i done I pull sluice out of water my with power cable puller.

use hose with a smooth interior and you will get better water flo. and a 2" to 1 1/4" coupling into your dredge pipe... it works for me great.

Nice demo :) A sub surface sluice might be the answer to the lack of lifting out of the water problem.

HeeHee, sweet video my friend. I am impressed with the volume of water that those little pumps can haul and yet still be light enough to be carried with one hand. I wonder if a 1 1/2 inch dredge would be able to do the 5 foot lift, mathematically it's then only pushing half the amount of water that the 2 inch model would, but you've probably already thought that one out. It was also a good leak test for your boat.
