I haven't practiced Systema but many years ago when I practiced a completely different style we had to agree with and sign a paper with a set of rules among which were the rule that we had to treat other styles and martial arts and their practicioners with respect.

This is silly... But i guess systema is beond physics... and far from good acting skills.

@Hermylolol thanks

@abhikundu86 My experience in systema is less than a year, so I really shouldn't be making this statement at all (but I'm doing it anyway!). My current understanding of the strike is that it's almost like a ball and chain. I believe Ryabko compares the strike to using a hammer. It's simply meant to be very fluid. Stiffness and tension, in let's say the shoulders, will take away power from the strike.

Excellent way of expressing the point. I was just searching for a memorable way of making that exact point.
Thankyou.

@CNCTEMATIC systema need to go back to 1990's when vlad use to give them the original hardcore training. i witnessed a decilne of hardcore systema.those clips of vlad in the 1990's were the best systema clips in his style he ever made.im sure you would agree?all of them shows the real skillz that got vlad to the level he is today.too much emphasis is placed on breathing and soft work and the 'spirituality' >WE NEED SPETSNAZ STYLE WORK.im a trini and i like hardcore shit just like spetsnaz

i've heard a lot about SYSTEMA. I've trained in Boxing, Wrestling in my school days and have been training in Krav Maga for the past 2 years, i thought Systema was more like Krav Maga - but this type of striking is more like Varma Kalai a traditional Indian art of manipulating the vital pressure points
I need some more clarification if anyone would care to
there is a saying
the wolf is faster than the rabbit,
but the rabbit often gets away,
because the wolf if running for his lunch,
and the rabbit is running for his life.
that's the difference.

a real fight is when you don't have a choice, it's fight back or just get killed/raped/etc...
if it's got a ref, or it's got a trophy, or it's about ego, it's not a fight, it's a match...
