Hats off to your teriyaki recipe. We in the UK have now got a curry barbecue sauce (also known as CBQ) - similarly to this - a great blend of East with West!

Go with 1/4 cup of soya sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, onion, garlic. 1/2 cup of hot water. 1 teaspoon each of the ceyenne, ginger, black pepper, salt(which you can leave out if you want). thanks and Enjoy!

is it dark soy sauce or light soy sauce?

Can you do it with more oil instead of water?

@SpyengoEen I think the water helps keep it syrupy as the oil would make it thick. I have since added a bit (1/4 cup) of rice vinegar and about the same amount water (1/4 cup). In the vid. I used about a 1/2 cup of water.
