I think the instructor wanted to mean ICAO language, not RKO...phonetically they sound almost alike. It is clear they need much much much more training - the instructor being the first- and for sure it is a serious hazard to have them flying around with that level of understanding...

I understand people's frustration with having to learn English - it's not an easy language to learn. I can also understand people's resentment at its domination in world media etc. But in something as inherently international as Air Traffic Control, a single lingua franca is absolutely necessary, and it has to be spoken well for obvious safety reasons. So there is no excuse for what is seen in this clip.

That's very simply question, if the pilots didn't know what were they talking about they should ask for it, not only say yayaya without understanding.
