Metroid XL-75 Remake Playthrough: Part 1

I'm back at it again, with yet another ZC quest from Exate. This is Metroid Xl-75 (Remake), which is, sadly, Exate's final completed quest before his retirement. It's actually not very long or complex compared to other quests in the ZC 1.92 era, but it's still a lot of fun to play, and is fairly innovative to boot.

This video covers most of the first locale in this quest: Polcartia. Samus will nab the Bombs and the Flame Blaster, and tangle with a group of wily Space Pirates. I admit that I got a little sloppy in this fight, but as long as I came through in the end, I can't complain.

@Tsukiyomaru0 Ugh. Yeah, I just noticed that as well. Of course, since Exalted Legion went down permanently a couple weeks ago, I'm not surprised. One of these days, if I have the time, I'll host the quest myself, if it's not readily available anywhere else.

Do you shoot the beam no matter what?

Correct. You never lose the beam regardless of how much health you have left. It's a neat little gimmick that sort of gives the illusion that Samus actually has a gun, as opposed to a sword.

heh talk about your major Zelda hacks... heh... I would like to see Nintendo combine both of their famous games together... Zelda and Metroid... and the game be a two player game... play as Link or play as Samus... your choice... it'd be epic i'd think... but if not I would create a fan game that would be... :D
