Custom lisp written for a new $300 million hospital wing extracts the program from excel spreadsheets devloped by the Hospital Programmers and draws all the relevant blocks the correct size (area), places a dynamic block in the corner. fills in the attribute info for the Program reference Number and Name, and then hatches the block on the appropriate layer. Use of AB (Area Boundary Command) illustrates quick area calculation and tagging of multiple areas in desired format and precision and is reactive - ie adjust the polyline outline and the area updates. further use of DS - distance stretch illustrates how to set the size of one of the sides of a block and have the DS command automatically adjust the dimension of another side to maintain the same program area.

Sample extraction is the proposed surgery program with 8 main OR's, sterile core, racetrack, pre and post op areas including PARU (post anaesthesia recovery unit) as well as ambulatory surgery with endoscopy, cystoscopy, minor procedures and ophthalmology OR's.
