stabilized UFO, Strange Aircraft, Lights In Sky, Sudbury Suffolk, England

2011/02/16 Feb 16 around 10.30pm. I saw this in the sky in Sudbury in the direction of Bury St Edmunds, at one point it just disappears on cam but I was still looking at it but for some reason it just wasn't coming out on camera :-( . This had been going on for about 15 minutes before I got the cam out btw.

Oh for the record, just because it says UFO - that does not mean this is ET having a disco. There are a number of air bases around so a logical explanation is pretty much assured I think ;-)

FOR THE RECORD (as people keep mentioning it to me!) one more time - I don't believe this is aliens!!!! We have a tonne of air bases near by and it's bound to be something to do with them if nothing 'normal' explains it but either way it's ridiculously cool (IMO) to see something that people have a hard time explaining and is/was an incredible rush seeing and experiencing. I love stuff that's not 'the norm' - keeps life interesting. If I'm told it turns out to be something quite normal then that's cool - we don't look like idiots because end of the day we didn't know and if we didn't film and talk about things we don't know about we'll never find ask questions and learn. Plus it doesn't take away the cool journey of finding out what it was :-D Curiosity is the greatest form for ascertaining knowledge.

I wonder if the subject is rotating very quickly and the jittery view the camcorder sees is a stobeoscopic effect? A bit like when a camera films a TV screen and you get the lines, or if you film a propellor and the blades appear to go backwards.

@writetech Could be, I'm no expert in this type of thing.  it's been explained to me now and unfortunately I am to blame for shakey pic. Turns out what it is is even though to me my hand was still because the zoom was so far in the slightest movement made it more all over the place than normal, as you see in the beginning when I'm not zoomed in it's pretty still. Also they reckon the slight knocking noise that's heard is me moving so causing something on the camera (wrist strap?) to hit it.

there is something simular i think here aswell been up there for days at the same spot only yesterday morning it faded so could be a star but im just wondering wich one caue i know for sure its not sirius cause thats to the right of it . also ddnt know stars could make red an bleuish lights , a satelite? dont know.

i live isudbury and i av just seen this light and there where 2, was looking at in though my cam, then suddenly just vanshed, these lights need looking into.

I saw this hovering above the school field! fom the top of the hill where the cemetry is down towards the police station. was shifting about all over the place. I walked upto barret lee hill and saw 2 of my friends they had actuall been upto the field and they said that it was just a kite you could hear the wind russling through it. i observed it for 20 minutes and after they said that, it was pretty obvious from its movements that it was a kite.
