@Mission7608x2 We're seeing a shift from the typical condition where every bathroom has a bath tub; particularly in the ensuite where many people are forgoing a bath altogether in favor of a larger, more functional shower.
If you have an ensuite, a main family bath and maybe a third bathroom, we recommend keeping a tub in at least one. There are always people who will prefer a bath to a shower, so it's a good idea to have that option if possible.
Not really related to this video but you guys seem to knowbathroom designs. I'm redoing my bathrooms and was just wondering if it would be weird to have only showers and no tubs in the house? Is a tub in one of the bathrooms a must in terms of home design?
@raygromer Yes – the shower is open without a door. There is a slope to the drain on the inside of the shower that prevents the water from leaking out onto the bathroom floor. Also the shower glass catches most of the spray so not a lot sprays out the enclosure.
@Pranchobaby Thanks for your question! One idea that has come up in a past Design Minute segment is the idea of installing a drawer near the lower-kick of your sink area.
To see an example of what this looks like check out our video entitled "How to Design Storage for Small Bathrooms" The example showcased at around the 1:30 mark:
Hope that helps. If you have any other questions let us know!
i have a similar issue but we installled the bathtube instead of updating the shower area. what would u recommend for storage ideas in this case. we do not have the space to extend the sink area

Is Mathew's shower open, without a shower door? Does much water splash out onto the bathroom floor?
Thanks for the video, it's very affordable.
