We supposedly have a democracy, but do we really?
We vote who gets to be in power but how do they win elections? They don't win by being honest. They win by appearing the way we want them to appear - kissing babies, shaking hands, smiling and looking good on camera.
Fine, let's keep electing leaders. Okay.
But why don't we also go to the polls to vote on BIG issues? I mean, if it was a democracy that's how it should work.

when you give a single person or a small group of people a massive amount of power...they are always going to become corrupt
power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. nothing is more true
look at people who have admin privlidges on chat forums and such. if anyone says anything about them they don't like, you get BANNED. If you say something bad to someone else who doesn't have admin powers you DONT.
