@rpeek you can get them off of any old ford car or truck it dont have to be a mustang. the number on the side of the carb says the size of the venturi like 2.1 means 2 inch venturis and a 10th a inch so the smaller the number the smaller the venturis the better gas mileage. the sizes will only vary a little bit a fraction of a inch. It dont matter really just go find one at the salvage that has a tight butter fly shaft. Maybe some viewer has one that they will give you that would be nice

@shartne Thanks for the input.. That may be what I wind up with on this thing.

@rpeek The old two barrel motorcraft ford carbs are so easy to rebuild a monkey could do it they only have about two working parts. The best two barrels every made in my opinion. I used to have one on my 67 mustang and I rebuilt it easy. I put one on a ford truck that had variable venturi on it and threw away the varible venturi and put on the regular ford motorcraft carb on it problem solved. the kits are cheap for the motorcraft ford carbs too. used to be about 12 dollars. years 66 -72

@stevieb620 Maine. I suspect a gasket on a Rabbit will be pretty easy. These Jeeps are notorious for being hard to get the leaks to stop.

Is that a new valve cover? Looks like it's made of aluminum? I like the baling twine, Nice touch.
