Could say that about any boxer. Liston wins against Ali if Liston in prime, no question.
Holmes wins against Tyson if Holmes in prime, no question. Dempsey in prime wins against Tunney, De La Hoya wins against Pacquiao if De La Hoya in prime no question... ad infinitum. Meaningless statements, unproveable one way or another.
@motley0crue12 I can see your point, Lewis could never destroy opponents in the first round like Tyson did with Micael Spinks and the majority of people early in his career, however over more than 7 rounds I would always have put my money on Lewis over Tyson. I guess it says more about Tyson's self destruction that he had probably hit his prime by the time he was 22 years old, if he could have held it together he would have probably been the greatest heavyweight ever
@Tommo6300 You can't really say that.. when they fought, tyson was WAY past it. 88 tyson would of probably been a little too much for anyone. There isn't much point in saying whose better, boixing isn't about the best, its a business, the majority of "champions" have been guided by their camps through the easiest path, its just a business when it comes down to it.
Tyson loses to Holyfield twice despite been 4 years younger, Lewis beats Holyfield. Lewis destroys Tyson despite been older. Lewis loses just 2 fights, Tyson loses 6. Lewis retires a World Champion defeating the younger Vitali Klitschko, Tyson retires losing to Kevin McBride. Lennox Lewis was unquestionably better than Mike Tyson.
@Superwhodatt yours too...
