This is how to build a homemade TV antenna so that you can catch FREE HDTV on NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, and some other local channels.

All you need is some copper wire, screws, washers, a piece of wood and a balum.

  • @starcar1980 It does not, but you can easily add a dipole (rabbit ears to it and be able to pick them up. That's my next addition

  • I'm curious as to the importance of the specific dimensions...will a larger antenna add more angles/waves or would you jsut increase dimesions on everything respectively?

  • @Dano853 There is such thing as a dual grey-hoverman antenna if I remember correctly. I think you just build two of them and connect them via some copper. Not too sure about that, but I vaguely remember reading that. Let me know how it goes if you're able to make something bigger, and thanks for watching! Would love to have you as a subscriber if you haven't subbed yet!

  • Do you know the range? as in how far away is the furthest Tv station located from you? Looks like a cool DYI project!

  • @ImTheDaveman Sorry I do not know the range.

  • has weather been a factor?

  • @thatztitz when it rains it gets a little digitized
