my flash doesnt work. i brought it in one day and had 16 new pics after just one night. only one of them had a flash, its almost december, i read somewhere that you werent supposed to use this camera in the winter, is that causing the flash failure?????

These types of cameras are cool. I bought one (a different brand) because some SOB had cut the fuel line on my Kaw parked out under the carport. But, I got too scared of the chance of my $300-plus camera (with SD card) being found, being taken. Sooo I skipped trying to catch the saboteur but did decide to see about some paranormal stuff ... Thus I placed the camera in my bedroom and caught using the inferred some strange orbs on film! They move across or down and look like lit ping-pong balls!

@timonix2 it depends on if you set it to take movies and how much action is going on.....if theres dozens of deer it won't last aslong if theres only a few.... you can add one of those sloar panels and 12volts too extend life also... i love mine I got 2 d40s and 1 of the i40s... would know where to go without them

ya i had the same question when i first got mine. first you change the setting to setup. then press the button on the bottom or top. then keep pressing it until you get to capture mode. for video it will say video and for pictures it will say still. then you just turn the knob to auto. another thing to remember is that it doesn't shoot video at night so whatever multi-shot you have it on, 1,2,or 3 it will take that at night instead of taking video. hope this helps!
