  • @StanBennet "This is like a bum on the street panhandling."

Visually perhaps... but the genius of the composition and its rich delivery gives this "bum" a glorious pathos that your "panhandling" comment is lacking.

  • I love this clip. It is such a captured real moment. It is amazing to hear him perform this song since it is very rare to hear him do any Monkee related material. He seems to be singing it out of memory with no cheat sheets. I so wish he would tour again and do more of these amazing songs. What an incredible talent.

  • These kind of videos are why I love youtube.

  • An awesome glimpse of my favorite Monkee busking one of my favorites of his tunes. This is great.

  • @StanBennet Really? Richest bum in history then. Some of us appreciate getting the chance to see him. If you don't have anything nice to say, why say anything at all?

  • @bd9598-It is on the Birds, Bees, and the Monkees album

  • @blueticecho Its caution tape not crime tape . I dont happen to agree, but your comment was funny though.

  • Voice sounds great! Wish he'd come up to the Aladdin Theater in Portland...

  • His voice sounds excellent.

  • @blackmore4 Check mate!! lol

  • @bd9598 well, I have this on 2 Monkees CDs actually.. It's on the "The Birds, The Bees & The Monees" (1968) and on my 4-CD-set called "Listen to the Band" from Rhino records! So, yes, it really is a Monkees song.

  • @bd9598 It's the B-side to Valleri, and I believe it's on the LP The Birds, The Bees and The Monkees.
