Don't be discouraged by the crazy name, face pulls are a great exercise for your upper back and the back of your shoulders. This exercise is very good if you do a lot of bench pressing or chest pressing and you need to strengthen your back.

So you'll need a cable stack and a rope for this exercise. Now, place the rope at the highest setting, take a few steps back from the machine, take a proud posture and add a slight bend in your knees and then grip the rope with your hands straight out and in front of your face.

Next, you want to pull the rope towards your face, keeping your elbows out and squeezing your shoulder blades together.

If you work out at the gym, this is a great exercise to add into your program.

  • bad form

  • Nice idea!

  • Nick Tumminello recommends using longer straps so that the forearms are more parallel at the beginning of the pull and so, less need to push the wrists/forearms outwards during the pulling. Therefore the ability of the forearms to radiate out from the elbows isn't a limiting factor.

  • LMFAO MUSCULAR FACE FTW
