Excellent movie and great retrospective of someone who are no longer among the living but his soul and act still survive amoung the fans. Hilarious with his wild movements from 02:05. :)

@tehmode only if Dave hops in and has a problem with it. For me, it's just the times and you can't waste time picking the performances apart.

@tehmode I know what you mean. And no disrespect to Andy, who as the originator should get full credit. But Carrey's version has that passive-aggressive, over-the-top quality to it. Maybe Andy in real life was just a little too nice to make this character so caustic.

jim carey rules as tony

who was the mysterious tony Clifton irl at this time?
-
"Andy? You guys want to see Andy Tonight? Anybody got a flashlight and a couple of shovels?" Man that line kills me every time!

a video on youtube of bob zmuda talking about man on the moon. its pretty cool.
-
Wow .How`d you get that information

Its ironic because back in 1985 when this event occurred with the REAL Tony, Jim Carey was sitting in the audience watching the performance. And then, almost 20 years later, he got to do a reenactment of it.
Cool.
I'll probably get flak for this, but I think Jim Carrey's incarnation of Tony Clifton is funnier than Andy Kaufmann's.

I don't know how anyone can not like this movie, much less this ending. This ending is fucking ART, I LOVE IT, it is perfect in every way possible, Jim Carrey's wonderful acting, the great camera work, a great ironic song, followed by an R.E.M. classic.
