Put it in the microwave and set timer and forget about it.. I love to use my cooktop for making rice, but i always forget about.. It gets a little scorched on the bottom.. So i use the microwave now and i love it.. :-) - Sherry

Wow it's only 15 minutes to cook the rice. Others say you have to cook it for 20 minutes which kind of defeats the purpose of using the microwave. 20 minutes is how long it takes to cook rice on the stove.

Interesting. I never thought of using a microwave to make rice. That seemed easy enough that even I can do it. Hahaha

@tuttle1970 I grew up on rice.. Love it.. You can not eat cajun food wthout it.. LOL

Oh another thing we use the same rice cooker but we have never put the butter in with it to cook it. We always added afterwards but will try with next time. :)
